Spalted Maple offers a variety of really unique and interesting grain patterns. Along with this, maple, unlike more traditional woods like koa and mahogany, has a brighter tone to it. It gives ukuleles built with it a livelier tone that cuts through mixes easier.

It also has the rosewood fretboard on a mahogany neck with beautiful rosewood binding. Tune is kept perfectly stable with high-ratio chrome plated tuners and a bone nut as well!

I really love this ukulele! The finish is wonderful and I haven’t found any flaws to it yet. The pattern of the wood makes it look like it’s smiling! The frets on the board are smooth and don’t cut into the sides of my hand when I’m trying to fret. The tuners worked beautifully and are so smooth to turn! I feel this is a very well crafted instrument, and I’m looking forward to using it and growing with it. I would definitely recommend!
The Spalted Maple Ukulele Bundle is my second with Bondi! I bought my first back in January and really fell in love with the quality and sound of the instrument. I am a teacher and have been playing the Ukulele at school with my students, but also wanted to practice more at home, so I ordered my second Ukulele with Bondi. I fell in love with the Spalted Maple when I was originally looking at Bondi Ukulele’s and it was the perfect treat now that I have gotten a bit more serious with the instrument. It is exceptionally beautiful in both appearance and sound. The Bondi staff were very helpful in getting my Ukulele out quickly and answering all my questions about tenor verses concert ukuleles and having a low G string installed. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the product and the service. I must also comment on the quality of the bag that comes with the ukulele. It is outstanding! A few colleagues of mine bought ukuleles around the same time I did and the zippers have already fallen off their ukulele bag. The Bondi bag is very thickly padded, durable, and the raised front pocket is excellent for the tuner and other accessories. I cannot recommend the Bondi Spalted Ukulele Bundle enough, you won’t be disappointed!

AWESOME! The Spalted Maple Concert Ukulele that I purchased from Bondi Ukulele is a true a work of art that sounds absolutely beautiful! I bought a Ukulele from Bondi Ukulele based on the service I received ordering a soprano Boards of Paradise uke bag and I am thrilled with all my purchases! Emy was absolutely fantastic! Never has anyone from any other company followed up like Bondi has done. I was sent a link to photographs of the Spalted Ukuleles they had available so I could pick out which one I wanted and that is the one I received. The starter kit in the bundle package gives you everything you need including a tuner, extra set of strings, strap, and more and then you have the Lifetime Warranty with registration online. Bondi has truly thought of everything! The Ukulele and bag were received within a week from Australia even with customs. You would be crazy not to buy a Ukulele from Bondi Ukulele, they treat you like family. On a scale from 1-10 Bondi Ukulele is a 15!
Amazing customer service, so helpful and attentive! Bondi sent me the specific spalted maple concert ukulele I requested. It’s beautiful with a gorgeous wood grain pattern. The ukulele is very light and comfortable to hold and play. The string action is perfect, easy on my fingertips. The sound it produces is light and airy, very clear. I have 2 other ukuleles- Eastman tenor and Enya concert. The Bondi is my favorite to play. My only concern, not really a concern, the wood of the fretboard and saddle appears really dry. I hope this won’t be an issue down the road. I would definitely recommend Bondi ukuleles. I would purchase one again.
