This is my first ukelele. I've played guitar for 41 years, but have been sidelined from that for a while by a thumb injury. I thought a ukelele might be easier to fret than the guitar with my injury, which has been the case... much easier to do barre chords. I can't really speak to the sound of this instrument compared to other ukeleles, as I'm new to this world. But it has a beautiful, rich, resonant tone with good balance and sustain. It's tone resonates like my classical guitar (without the two base strings).

It seems like a high quality instrument. The details, like the closed gear tuners, are well done. One note - it does not have body binding as stated in the specs (see pix). The edges are raw, so it will probably not stand up to dings well. Hopefully the hard glossy finish will help protect it. The appointments are a nice touch. It really is a beautiful instrument.

I need to mention that, although the instrument is made for a lefty, which is rare, the free "bonuses" included (like the chord chart) are not for left-handed players. Also, the hardshell case is not available for a few months, so I had to settle for a padded case (included free). But it is HEAVILY padded, and so should protect the instrument well.

Overall, a 5 star instrument. I'm enjoying playing it.

My first baritone uke. My Bondi sounds wonderful. Thanks for making a left handed uke. They are relatively rare and I appreciate a top brand making them.
